did you ever see david letterman when he was trying to get onto the oprah show?? EVERY NIGHT he made a huge production of calling his secretary and kept a journal of 'nope, no calls from oprah today'... it was rather funny...

i'll fire off a little email as soon as i can... couldn't hurt.... seems like it would be some fun!!

as crazy as it sounds- we are taught from the time we are small children not to talk to strangers- and i carried that attitude with me into the internet age. so while it has raised eyebrows among my friends and family (and even myself), i opened myself up to a group of strangers at seal.com and found PEOPLE and FRIENDS that have changed my life. i've been fortunate enough to travel and meet different members of our forum from all over the world, but i know right now there are members that haven't had that luxury. they either couldn't take the time off or couldn't get the money together, but more than anything they would love for all of us to be able to gather in person and see seal live. posting and emailing on their behalf is the least i could do for all that these people, who didn't know me from anyone, have done for me. it sounds silly and frivilous when there are so many out there with needs and desires far more immediate- but this is their wish- and there can be no limit placed on the worth of their happiness in my eyes- because i have come to care for them...

I have already written to her and am getting ready to write again. I live in Michigan and so Chicago is that far away from me. For Seal, I too will go with all of you. Besides, it would be so wonderful to meet with you all.

I feel, when Seal appears on the Opra show, it is going to be a very very special moment for all of us. I feel this in my heart.

Would be great if Seal and Heidi (after they are married) would appear on Oprah, however, I said this in the beginning and I will stress it now, Oprah and Seal are not a good fit!! I love Oprah but she seem to make attempts to give the audience "what they want to hear". As we are aware, Seal is very much of an intellect and thinks very deep and unconditionally.

I do agree with you.

I sometimes don't get it. When you have a person as gifted as Seal, and there are many more truly gifted individuals or group of people in their own respective fields, wanting to make a difference through their music and through whatever medium they are using, why won't the world listen?

We could do with more people like Seal in the entertainment business, creating that, which truly aids in the shift of consciouness to a higher, purer, more loving and compassionate way of being. And Seal is a deep thinker and feels very deeply. One can listen to his songs and know that, it comes straight from the heart.

So, I just don't get it. I mean...Usher gets 8 nods? I am sure he is a wonderful talented young man and has those 6 packs on his stomach (now how do you say that?),etc., God forgive me, but he does not touch my Soul. Alicia Keys, 8 Grammy nods? She's gorgeous, but...never mind.
(sighing again)

Seal...I didn't see any mention of him recieving Grammy nods. That is why, to me, all these Oscars and Grammies, are completely meaningless. It is so riddled with politics and the power of money, and what can you say?

But I have this real feeling inside, that someday, soon, Seal and talents like him, will be heard. Seal already has the highest most prestigious award of all and that is, a Voice from the Gods, meant to be used for the Highest and purest good. Which he is fulfilling anyway. He is here to stay and in my eyes, he is a true Being of Light. So there. He's a winner already, far beyond any number of Grammies.

I feel Oprah would love to have Seal, but contracts involving a lot of money can sometimes tie one's hand together. We'll see. Let's not give up hope.

Don't kill me but that request is futile to be honest. As I said in an earlier thread, Seal and Oprah are not a fit!! I would rather see him on a PBS show dedicated to family (parenting with duel careers) or a news oriented special, however, all may not be lost, Heidi had Tyra Banks on her show sometime back, so there is a possibility she may have Heidi (and of course, Heidi will probably bring along Seal).

I am surprised that Oprah has never had Seal on her show. For some reason the media likes to give Seal little attention. Seal and Heidi would be a perfect fit for an Oprah show.
