I feel it may be a good idea to create a topic discussing forum etiquette. Feel free to add your .02 and we'll modify and expand as we go along. Mind you, while these should be adhered to, they are not part of a user agreement by any means... continue to use the forums willingly and freely.



-All topics residing in any of the public forums are open for any and all members to participate. While the use of Private Messages for personal messages and intimate content is suggested, it is certainly not a requirement. That being said, again, all topics residing in any of the public forums are open for any and all members to participate. If you are creating a new topic that you'd like others not to participate in, create a private topic instead. If members are welcome participate, the topic may be created in an appropriate forum.

-While all topics in public forums are open to all members, it is suggested that members avoid topics where they may not be wanted rather than instigating a feud. Feel free to post whenever and whatever you like, however, instigation (is that a word?) has no place here. Just as an individual on the street chooses which conversations to entertain, all members are granted that same right here.

-Should members decide to exchange personal information with one another within the forum it is their complete right. That being said, whatever the outcome of that action, it is the sole responsibility of the immediate parties involved to settle or not settle their dispute. The goal of the Admin and Moderators is to manage the forum and it's content; not the members.

-In the event a "troll" (member who posts innappropriate content) appears, click the exclamation mark icon in the bottom right corner of the post to report the member AND the post to Admin.

-After a "troll" and the member has reported the member and post to Admin, DO NOT RESPOND to the troll's posts. That only serves to encourage the activity and sabotages the purity of the forum for present and future fans of Seal. No need for hero a hero. Just ignore them...

-As Randhir suggested, read Seal's forum objectives and try to enjoy the ride...

All good rules. Perhaps they should be displayed at the forum homepage so everyone sees them before they enter the message boards. Overall, i would say this is a rather good forum and doesn't seem to have too many "troublemakers".

One thing I should say though is that you have to be careful, as you were in your Etiquitte statement above, not to encourage people to start clicking the ! at the corner of the post and reporting people just because they dont like what they have to say. Free speech is a wonderful thing, and nobody should be kicked out unless they are really causing trouble. We just don't want to get "iggy happy" with others just because we dont agree with them, even if we dont agree at all, they still have a right to post. Again, great job on the Etiquitte rules and I am just emphasizing what I feel is important.

It's interesting that every forum has a soul of it's own. So the etiguette in this forum might not apply in another one. For example i really need to copy this thing about the trol and post it in one of the forums i am going to. It's a forum where rule number one is "don't be silly! It's just the internet!" So usually when i see there topics like "she left me, and i am broken" or "give me some advice on how to write a love letter" i am usually thinking like "poor man. it won't be his day for surecos he or she is attacked from everywhere with sarcastic words or even ironic topics as "she left me COS am broken" or "a love letter to my ugly one". it's a ruff place lol. it's a jungle and u got to have some weapons to survive it... don't u people argue on here? lol i mean.. let's say that the truth u can find only during a dispute while ur sharing different points of view. Sometimes u fight with fire for ur own, sometimes u agree with ur opponet, sometimes u say "yes u'r right here" sometimes u say "BUT" this and that...

i got to say that i am relaxing when i come to this forum... but i got to say that it also needs a lil fire. i know we r all behind the Love. I love the love... she is my hero...

I am sure that sometimes we r not behind the opinion of someone but we prefer to be quiet (cos of the lovely atmosphere around) then to stand behind our point of view and guard it. That's what i call a lil fire for the cause of finding the truth.. cos it's a well known fact that the truth usually stands somewhere between mine and ur point.. and if i don't hear urs then......
