Hi All,

I have from a very reliable source that it is more than likely that Seal will be working with David Foster on his new album. This I think is great news as I think they have built up a very good relationship. And I was told that it should be out within 12 months!!!!!! Ill keep you posted on any more news.

Regards
State of Grace

I hope he changed his mind about creating that "heavily Brazilian influenced" dance album. He needs to get back to the roots of that 2nd album, if he wants bigger record sales.

Old man Honeycutt walked from Pyatt to his home 2 miles away. He was crossin' Crooked Creek, when his wife heard him callin' "Sissy, come and get me...I'm somewhere over the moon" (the moon was shining on the water).

Me personally, I like Seals dance songs more than the songs from his last album. In my opinion, System is better than Soul. But dont get me wrong, I'm 18 and i grew up with seals dance songs. Soul is a masterpiece, of course the songs are all great! So I would like to see a mix of both genres, that would be awesome Big Grin
And by the way, it's very cool that seal is that active at the moment, 3 albums in 3 years would be a very good result.

Daniman, I completely agree.
I think SEAL has found a niche that he realizes that he can sell a TON of records and his label and management are pushing him in this direction.
From what I know about SEAL he loves his "dance" music and those are his roots. Look at what he said about "system" before it was released. The problem is that his main demographic is getting a bit older and not really buying "dance" music anymore.
I hope he does what is best for himself and his family but in my humble opinion I just want him to WRITE his music rather then do another album of covers. His writing is the most amazing in the business and I yearn to hear his words in song.

Smile my 2 cents.

i agree with you Big Grin im unsure about the dance album in respect to the sales side of it...but for someone a bit older lol i STILL love to dance and i would buy the album anyway. that said i do think when you hear " rolling " it sets you off needing a fix of seals wonderful lyrics . and maybe its time to do another slower album either way im sure ill enjoy it and if its one that makes me boogey round the house then so be it ha ha . the fact that its coming so soon is the bonus here Big Grin Big Grin luv sue xx

Note to self...go listen to 'ROLLING' right now.

I like some dance music..but to be honest, what I love MOST about Seal is his voice...and I can 'hear' more of it when he slows it down....

Well the last time I checked, "System" only sold 155,000 copies. You got to sell at least 500,000 to go Gold. Even that crap album "Human Being" was able to do that!

What were the sales like for SOUL?

Bottom line folks...if you don't sell CD's..then you are in trouble.

Every album that Seal has made...I love several songs on each. There are a few songs that I skip, but for the most part I listen according to my moods. I love the remixes and Rolling. I love Human Beings too. I am ready to hear some more cool tunz...bring them on Big Grin James loves the remixes. He was singing in the bathroom to "Brothers in Rhythm"...Lost My Faith...hehehe, I love it when he sings off key...he is a closet Seal fan Wink

i think all the albums have songs i like an songs im not so keen on. Soul i dont listen to much at all purely cos they are covers and i prefer songs seal writes. that said i think human beings is a great album and one i play a lot. im sad system sold so few copies cos i like it a lot i just dont think it was marketed enough and the fact they keep playing him on radio 2 here makes him seem like he cant reach a younger audience which is sad , there was enough young uns dancing to the tiesto mix of the right life from what i saw Big Grin Wink i think a really good commercial single is needed from the new album though so i will wait with baited breath bring it on seal your fans await lol luv sue xx Big Grin

Ain't it funny how we all have different feelings about the same guy. LOL!

Personally, I listen to SOUL way more than SYSTEM...

I am just so happy when he sings..no matter what...so I will take what I can get.

I have to agree with sue. The songs on Soul are interpreted very well, no doubt. But it's a cover album. I think Seal should write his songs on his own, that's what he is famous for.
Edit: ..and we love him for Big Grin

Hope this next album isn't another cover because I'll be disappointed.
