Some have thought that "Kiss From a Rose" is much like the story of "Beauty and the Beast".

This has come to me today: Hmmm, The person who is all alone...like the greying lighthouse on the sea. It is a lonely life to be helping souls at sea, and then love comes, and the light shines through the darkness "you became the light on the dark side of me"

The fun thing about Seal's lyrics is that you can go back and see something from a different angle and you think...wow!

"I compare you to a kiss from a rose on the grey" Beauty and Light in the shadows of life.

It was an excelent song for the movie Batman, because the superhero has a dark side, and is on the outside looking in, because of his secrets. He found love in his darkness and it shed some light on his fears and truths.

It is fun to guess a meaning...yes? Love, Janet
