Hi Sealfan13, This is my take on the song:
Love is the answer to finding oneness. Being human means our bodies can't live on forever, and when we die, life will go on without us...someone will replace us. Some think that dying will bring you peace, and when you feel this way before it is time for you to die naturally... you have lost your path in life...lost your faith...but then, that is another song  Sometimes, the things people seek in life do not always make them happy...yes, they reach the top at what cost? When they are throwing up the very gift that they share with others...it blocks the "Sun"...the "Chi" in their being. Peace, Janet |

Just a personal interpretation, but I've always thought "...they'll be punching tickets by the minute if you fall out of line..." meant that there's people clamoring for Tupac and others like him to fail- society LOVES a good scandal! People will buy tickets/ watch someone come up short.
I guess what confuses me most about us, Are the deeds you've done to break my trust, I possess but one glass Heart, For you to stress & break apart ...and thank God for that |

I have a similar view and I like the addition here.
Seal reatirates the the comment about the hour of desperate need - feel closer to the one. Some of it is faith but in absence of all that you have relied on it is something else that must save you. Kinda like going to far to be saved my any other means. If you bleed then it was written as destiny I feel is a realy nie touch. That is like saying it was always expected and therefore it is not unusual. Speaking of higher politics or actions that ae sanctioned. Has an almost illuminati/secret society feel to it. In absence of better judgement to find resolution the idea of bringing death closer to you is the only way of finalizing one's own affirmation to finaly live. The blaze of glory type aspect of going out in a bang. This is dying for a cause or giving up within it? Either way the point of finality makes diferent people react in similar yet, unlike manner(s). The loose your self esteem part is saying something like : if all you have is your self idea of who you are and then that changes. Then, they have won and love no longer exists within you. As if to reference that the life of the person was built on self ( a false premise) which makes al things subsequent and seemingly invalid - VALID or having a power of the person and love does not reside there. Love = God. Very intricate and elaborate this song. The final part where you are puffing but really only blocking the sun. That is the self becoming to much in comparison to all the things around you and diminishing the aspect of the love alliance and manufacturing claims of greatness boasting of oneself and becoming inflated. Therefore, blocking the sun is the inflated self which disallows for the love light to shine through to get to the person and fuel the idea of salvation and to erode the dreams or modes of encouraging death. moreso it is to dissipate the loneliness felt to bring a much needed healing. Freud talks about ego this is somthing about it as well but it is also about how the person learns to rationalize an irrational world and it is due to the lack of commitment felt seen and heard through the posture of being in love, or one, or of God.
