just got a reminder email about this....Seal will be performing with a FULL ORCHESTRA at Stanford University. It is a charity event and I AM GOING! Gotta drive about 75 miles but I don't care. I cannot WAIT to hear him with a full band.

This is a unique concert so I think there will be some suprises

The email I got said the first hour will be the orchestra..and then Seal comes on at 7pm..it should be really cool.

After watching the DVD of A Night to Remmeber..I am really excited.

Here's hoping Heidi doesn't have the baby early.

IT IS RAINING!!!!!!!!

IT NEVER rains in California in Mid September!

The box office doesn't open for 4 hours..will have to call to see if this outdoor concert is still happening? If it is, I guess I will need a raincoat and umbrella.

I cannot BELIEVE it is raining...while Calif always needs rain...tonight? MY SEAL NIGHT? It is a sold out benefit concert...c'mom Mama nature...

WHAT A SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The set list was the same as the SOUL TOUR show I saw...I can never remember things in order but he sang..
A Change is Gonna Come, I Can't Stand the Rain, Killer, Crazy, My Vision, ..ah man, I'm a blank.
The last song with People Get Ready and behind him were the Stanford Univ Choir. HOLY COW!! It was unreal!

Hearing Seal perform with a FULL ORCHESTRA was amazing..truly AMAZING!

I have to share that I made my way up to the stage when they let us. I parked it right by the stage and when he got close, I reached out and touched his calf. He was signing CRAZY and he put out his left hand and I reached up gently and sqeezed his hand. HE SQUEEZED back and neither of us let go for about 20 seconds or so. I just looked up at him..like some Beatles-crazy-school-girl..when he let go, I burst into taers. I KNOW..I am a 43 year old DORK.

I will say that he was really on fire that night. BEST show ever..and I have seen him live 5 times.

This event was a charity event for The Children's Health Council. For 56 years this council has offered life altering clinical and educational programs which give children the chance to grow into healthy and happy young adults.
As a parent of a child with high functioning autism, organizations like this are far and few between.
At the end of the night, Seal said "It has been my absolute pleasure to be here with you tonight. I will always do whatever I can to help the welfare and well being of any child."
