I thought Seal and Adamski were still doing collabs and things on other arrangements. I swore I seen it somewhere they have done other works together already on mix'd music. As far as Adamski is concerned He may have the 'ins' on Seal's tracks for mixing. He has been doing work all this time. After all it was those two together that made it all work the way they both needed to become large and known.

When this album gets released this What? October?
I am willing tobet Adamski has his name in the credits especially since it is a dance album. Remixes will be out the wazzoo with His name on them. That is my guess. We shall see in October.

By June/July. They will more than likely release a lead track to promote the album up-coming.

If I had to gues I would say 2 - maybe 3 tracs are Adamski. Why? The album is a major release from a Warner Brother ARtist. One who regularly Tours and One who regularly promotes movie soundtracks. One who regularly gets nominated for Grammies. And who is on the A-list for all the events and parties and such.

So if Adamski gets 2 tracks and they are good. He can then get solicited for bigger jobs and more often. Danny Elfman did his thing with oingo Boingo for a few years and branched out into studio work for movies (barbarosa - that movie with jane fonda. or was bobarosa with Willie nelson? SOme sci-fi hit) anyhow Elfman did the music and the lyrics I believe. Then he got to do more. Alot more. Rza has done movie soundtracks and a few of those Ghost Dog was one movie (Forrest Whittaker) and rza was working with tarantino on other music projects. Timbaland has done alot of tracks for alot of people, Pharrell. Track making is big business. That movie dollar does not hurt either.

We should all take a moment out and wish him the very best success in his future endeavors. One because he has given us music we love (Seal's) and he continues to pursue his passion and will undoubtedly reap the rewards for having done so.

I will check out the website.

My Post: COngratulations on the hard work and the very certain future - a successful one. The journey was long but, certainly well earned.

At least read I heard that the supermodel Allysia Ambrosio had been dating some guy who owned a night club in New York.

I wonder if any of Seal's video's are going to be filmed in there. I sure they will get some play there but, would he include the models as well. I would like to see Seal on Tyra. I wonder if that will happen any time soon?

If I watched T.V. I would watch her all the time.

Hi Gareth,

I have to say that I really like the way Tyra handles her show. She is caring and compassionate. I too would love to see her interview Seal, with more if a take on his music, and his different directions in sound and then he could sing Big Grin

I am also looking forward to some videos for the new album..."Rock the House, Seal! Wink

Love, Janet

Tyra had the models on there one day ( the supermodels) and HK was there too. She had the ultimate spotlight sharing alot of face time with Tyra. The comercials were of them in these funny faces. I am suprised that noone has dug them up and posted them. I am sure that they are exclusive property of the Tyra show but they were goofy. Everytime I see HK on t.v. she is a hoot.

I am really happy that Seal has a young vibrant personality to share his life with. Besides being successful and very good at what she does. She has a goot time doing it, obviously.

I also managed ot see her on Ellen. This was right after the pregnancy (nothing else to do in jail but watch t.v..) Ellen asked about the kids and such and hey showed pictures and Ellen talked about how Seal and HK snubbed her at some awards show. They were shown walking away waving to the cameras. LOL Subbed is a harsh word but, It was something like that as Ellen had put it.

Does anyone watch the Heidi SHow is it still on? ANyhow, that was my talk show talk. enjoy.

Indeed I agree with you Gareth. Heidi has a fun loving nature. I remember Seeing her on Ellen and she came out dancing while pregnant. I loved it. Seal picked a special rose there, and just look at all the cute little buds... Big Grin

In This World

Would you do me over?
Baby...
I know it's been hard to figure out
where I'm coming from

Can't we figure out a way
to say what we need to say
before it slips away?

Am I so complex
that you'd fail to answer
questions spilling from my head?
maybe I misled you
I didn't mean to
you're all I have
in this world

Would you think it over?
hey...
I know it's been hard to figure out
where I'm coming from (next)

Can't we figure out a way
to say what we need to say
before it slips away?

Are you so perplexed
that you'd fail to figure out
love problems spilling from my head?
maybe I misled you
I didn't mean to
you're all I have
in this world

Say it baby,
Just tell me that you want to stay

Hi Gareth,

I am listening to "TOBEONE" right now. The rap is great. I like the piano (electronic) intro with drum beat. The only weakness in the track is the background vocal. You nailed the rap. you could strip the track of the BV. The piano sequence could be shortened. It starts with a piano sequence then you go into the BV. Do the piano intro up to the BV - cut it out - then add the rap. The music behind the rap is great. I would love to hear the full track without the BV.

You can Rap,

Track: "How Do You Feel?" I like the beat. In this track the BV's are strong. The rap is solid until you get to the phrase unknown truths, at that point it sounds as if you are trying to squeeze words into the rhyme.
The BV's are louder than the rap, but in this case it works...the only thing I would change there would be to take the concert hall sound out of "How Do you Feel?"BV.

Nice work Gareth Wink

Thanks for the listen,

Peace, Janet

The cover with your photo is cool too.

Janet,

I appreciate your honesty. You hated it. /sigh.

LOL. is all good the BV noone seems to like much.

Glad you could dig the groove on it though.

ToBeOne was create by Dennis I took one of hisa tracks and did the rhyme on it. He is pretty good at working the machine and programming. I'l send you another one soon. I have lot's of these. They all got recorded but not mastered.

Anyhow, this is yet something else I did while in college.

the image: Was just a picture and took photoshop and added the text and colors. The photo was done before the year 2000. When Tupac's new album came out a year or so later 'Until the end of time' He and I were standing the exact same pose. Eerie.

Hi Gareth,

I just got back on the computer. I have been helping Mom today.

Actually, I liked the track TOBEONE except for the BV.

Wow, the same pose...cool;O)

I will listen to the other tracks and let you know what I think. Thanks for sending them.

oh I sent you tobeone twice then.

I think there was another I sent also. I'm scaling them all down a bit e-mail can only handle so much.

Dennis was pretty jazzed about the track. He was another person who did not like the BV either.

The vocals say,

" peace be unto your heart

to you, to you

cry aloud child."

If I could get rid of parts or pieces I would. But I got rid of most of my equipment and cut out the digital recording (too much data loss) I had the mc-505 and once they went over to 1v smart cards from the 1.3v cards. I started getting rid of stuff. I got rid of an apple 5g notebook for like $150 bucks cost $3,500. 1 month or 2 later they open a mac store n Lenox mall. Go figure. I also had the Roland SP-808 in itself it was a 4 track mixer with real-time sampling capability. Got rid of that and the roland vs-1880 and 8track digital recorder.

I know your gonna ask me why. SO I'll go and tell you. I went to the studio and was ready to record an album worth of material. Not great but it was mine. The stuff came up missing all of my saved material was there in addition to music (beats I had purchased from Maryland.) Then I had a data loss touch of one wrong button and poof two years of work all gone. that was my 3rd data loss so I got out of it. Locking yourself in the house is one thing, having the desire to get it done is another. Dealing with the loss and about what you have to show for all of that time is the real question. I said I came up with less and less so I practically started throwing things out the window and moved on. LOL. Good thing I have a sense of humor.

interesting thing is I never wanted to sing, noone would sing my material. So I did it. I didn't want to record but I had to learn. I didn't want to learn photoshop but I did that too. on and on it went. So I stopped before I got signed and went on the road performing, which is another thing I don't won't to do. All the while I had lot's of people helping me to fail and stripping me of things I would not given up freely. Anyhow, that is my story. I'm the guy who does better behind the scenes.

"God do not make me to successful lest I forget thee." - Moses (OLD TESTAMENT)

It isn't a biased opinion
or my intent to misuse
for those laughed at pick a
part of it that's used
left to construe
whose heart could realize
it's own shame
look inside the struggle
find yourself to reclaim
I am just a man
and his opinion on what

or just another lone nut

raised on this aggression
confessing
got me streesing
you caught me getting off
in the soul's direction

I pulled up off the nippled
and stepped back
turned and posed for a mugshot
called it the mac
nothing else than this my intent
to lay claim to the 6x3 foundation
of a name
all I have is this obsession and it's darker than your best
pound for pound of flesh
oh could I pass that test

I shoud have realized that we could have
hoped for more
to live like the rich to die
like the poor

Never settle for less on my knees distressed blind and willing on these seas of hopeless
the brother like no other 'sm0ke this'
to be one to stand to man and understand
all that he has done

our why is now and if never regret
it's about the proof of truth
and that's a bet

callme a doctor no I don't feel shy
excuse my black a$$ while kiss the sky
forgive momma if your baby boy
don't come home
its on and its on
and you know that I'm gone
i'm screaming hail to the kingdom
but why are we alone
firstborn
GOD BLESS the heirs to the throne

I mighty fell for a moment homie
but, whose asking
I ain't laughing deal me back in
it's world one all about the same
and influenced by this passion
and these speakers banging on my brain

if you don't know you'd swear this ....[explicitive] mother...
the same
but, i've changed
and now you've got to know my name
I make the brother say 'how'
I make the brothers say, 'how now'
that's the style meanwhile their in the aisle
throwing flashes at my profile
(but I can't smile)

TOBEONE lyrics by me.

Gareth, thank-you for telling your story. Music as an art form allows us to create images in sound. There is alot involved in the creation. Most fans don't get to see what goes on behind the scenes. Seal is blazing a trail giving fans a glimpse of the recording process.

As you say it takes equipment and time to produce the final track. I am sorry you lost all your work. Something like that can be very devastating for a creative artist.

Gareth? You could always start a myspace page and showcase your artwork and your tracks. You can also load a player to stream your songs, and even sell them through Snocap I believe. Never know, someone might like to network with you.

I understand though, being behind the scenes is a gray area where you can still be in the mix, and not have to deal with the spot light Wink

"Just Do" that is all... to seek, strive, live, become... before our day is done".

What someone doesn't like?... someone else may like Gareth.

People can take, but you can let that go, and you can start again. That is the beautiful thing about music...it goes on.

Peace, Janet

I just listened to the two tracks that you sent today. I really like this song. The rap and the music are good. I think it could work if you had the equipment to take out the BV.
