you dont have to be a philosophy major or any of that to enjoy Seal. I know sometimes I can be high octane on the words and such. I want to have a chance to say that I really, really enjoy Seal an his music. It makes sense to me and I connect to it. The many areas of his life he relates to me in my introversion. I don't deal with alot of people and I don't know as much as I might seem to sometimes. I do things like write poetry and lyrics and I look at the depth of what Seal does and I am awe struck. I dont have the courage to do it myself. I don't chicken out I leave things close to be done and leave it alone. Seal in his works have done exactl what I have not so I leave it into his hands and enjoy the world I never thought of describing.

I can't help but feel that the level of input he is giving us is not being taken as the world-changing music it is. Many people pass over his sound and his words and dont enjoy it as much as we do. I am greatful to have so many people who through the use of this board have given so much and have opened themselves to Seal and his music but also to eachother. I really like reading the comments and do not always post but, I should try to in the future. We all suffer and have individual pain. Somehow, we know the hurt we feel i enjoy being apart of your lives and try to not abuse that.

To everyone going to the concerts 'ENJOY'. I don't have words enough to say the good things about Seal or his insight into someone he only met briefly. Thank-you Seal. I also thank you all I am enjoying the boards and your many opinions and thought.

who laid the art on the stage for you to have. I hope that you have liked the image that was created. I hired a photographer : Thomas Jefferson and the philanthropist/radio Personality John Ford made it all possible by providing the artifacts in the image. B is the guy who broght the flowers. I was gonna use it as a graphic illustration to my book of poetry but decided on a new concept to leave the rarity of the art alone. Seal first of all is a gentleman. Then or by the hand, an artiste. He honours the best marvin gaye and the best peter gabriel, each one in their particular, singular and unique essence.
Every Seal album draws a perfect circle. the first song always closing with an instrumental remembering from that firs track, like the great marvin gaye used to do. Seal writes with profund reflections and sensitivity. Refine and sophisticated, he puts the same effort to the recording process, the art work and, obviously, the lyric and music creative process. Seal is a pressence He does not overwhelm us with his image in every magazine. He appears and dissapears with the same elegance that has built his life.

Yeah seal is a Gentleman. He needs to start a musical group, a rock band or a jazz ecclectic band. Tour the world and become a larger star than he already is. Need is a strong word but nonetheless I think only good things could come from it.


Also, Seal does not ( as I have seen do soul music) so doing the bext Marvin Gaye. That is not Seal. And very few people can do Peter Gabriel. Acts like Gabriel, Collins, Cook, Gaye, armstrong, Prince and Neville all of them are very hard to duplicate or give a very version of by any performance standard. Yes, full circle is an artform a completion of a thought or closure. I like to sometimes read the albums tracks names and se what he is giving us before I go back and play the tracks. It is a very nice method of relating bringing all things to completion.

I could not agree more with you about the use of his images and such. Rare and timely. I also want to add that a few people in music are allowed that kind of publicity freedom. While Seal is a known person he is not titilating or made to be corny by alot of publicity. A balance of private life and stardom. Just boring enough to stay out of the inquirer and the away from the space aliens. But, he is not breaking album sales charts or keeping the top 10 buzzing. Partly due to people not feeling as they know him. Its costly I am sure to get that - sacrificing alot of personal space to get that attention. Over time Seal will become like a Sade. All he has to do is release an album and it will sell and be a favorite of many. But mega stardom does not come that way. Being an industry mainstay is a safe and cautious road. And grats to Seal for seeking it and treading it wholesomely.

To be? or not to be... a super star...hmmm. Most would agree that the media feeding frenzy is basically a pain in the posterior.

After awhile you can lose the edge, because things become dull...the same type interviews from station to station. Something like that can make you lose your religion, or your cookies, take your pick.

Basically, Seal lives who he is. Yes, you will see him on the red carpet with Heidi on his arm, but you won't see him embroiled in controversies between the pages of the Star. Why not? Because that is just not Seal...flying just below the radar would be more comfortable for him. As he has mentioned before he likes the money, but not the fame.

He does just enough PR to satisfy his fans.

Seal also can fill a concert venue. In 2005 Chastain had around 7000? Biggest crowd they had had up to that concert...the man can draw the love in...he can bring the house down.

Does he need to be "super nova?" He makes good money. He can get what he wants, and he has a beautiful family...is it enough? Might make a good song...huh?

I am pleased each time they play Seal's music on my local pop station, but in a way, I am glad they don't play say "Love's Divine" 15 times a day...some radio stations will play songs over and over wearing them out. People get tired of that. I know I like a variety in songs...Seal's too.

Seal will be doing some jazz I think in Germany which will be cool. What I love is that he can do several styles of music...from working with an orchestra, to jammin' voodoo chile on a guitar, to singing a capella, and doing a fine job with each genre.

Should he start a jazz band? Become bigger than he already is? Hmmm, that could work overseas, or in the states. Does he really have to be as popular as BlackEyed Peas, or Sting? He already is that popular to us...yea?

Guess we will have to wait and see

Oh, he is a star. No question about that. I read somewhere that Sade's band actually tours and are practicing playing musicians that appear regularly without her. When they are with her it is because she is so awesome and hs that special flavor. SOmetimes as a performer there are things you cannot do or say - things can't get out in the venue or avenue your currently on or in. I know there are some things or aspects of Seal (in everone) dying to get out. A creation of a forum where that is encouraged is or could be a band.

I said it before when we had the discussions on Seal's videos. It took alot of time for seal to relly look comfortable doing them. In the later ones he looks more relaxed and he even wiggles a little. A lot of them he closes his eyes and turns his head. In the later ones he looks right at you and sings his hearfelt song. This being change from the first Seal or the dreaded Seal (lol). I know there were many versions of seal before all of that that has come to finally now rest as the versions we know and love. But Seal had his early roots sprout in bands and has been on stage as an energy driven head shaking tight leather pants dude shaking his money maker for the crowds. Now, Seal controls the crowds with his sultry sounds and silkens the tones with effects of his own sentiment labeling it his own personal acknowledgement of our having been there with him through a moment of passionate expression. I watched several videos and he rarely moves. I seen him in concert and he did not move a whole lot then. I watched a show one time where Lucciano Pavaratti sung his heart out. He did not move either. I guess I am looking at the performance side and the one that says differently of the music spoken or the actions that in venerate the music wholy by its representation. I'm not taking away from Seal's performance I am saying te artist has many years of being humble and soft spoken or to perform the art quietly. While the man is still young he still has a shake or two that can gain him unparalelled recognizability in his performace as well as in his art. I just think, as of lately, that he could do the frontman thing for a while and make a all-purpose touring band to escape his current performances and personal philosophy to adopt through multiplicity a suitable talent to display under another banner.

Time is right IMHO. Overseas or U.S. A good band would still have a world tour. If Seal was in it. It would have to be a a world Touring band.

I wrote many of them while in jail. the reason why I am posting them is because I no longer have the originals and am unsure of who took them or where they are or of what is being done with them. my own public defender's lied on paperwork and had me sent into an insane asylum and all of the posessions I had were kept at the jail. They were taken from me and noone knows what happened to all of my things. The district attorney lied too and accused me of charges they had no evidence to prove but, none of that being of any real importance any longer I just post this stating: creative people or introverted people who do not fit the mold get screwed in many ways - and having a creative mind does not assure that others will not fear what they cannot understand. Even though I had paid an attorney $10,000 he told me he won't do what I wanted the judge said it's o.k. I dont wnt you too. The state wanted it's conviction, the police wanted everything in my house and they all got what they wanted - now I have nothing. And I'm still the same person I have always been.


I wrote this song partly due to that fact, that an entire state coud manufacture lies to make someone appear guilty. But, not soley. I wrote this because of that beautiful woman whose story I had read about - Petra Nemchova - the one caught in the tsunami - who clung to a tree for 8 hours when the waves crashed Hoping that the person who gave his life not clinging to the same tree did everything he could to ensre she had a chance to survive. And she did. God Bless her!

I really like this one:O) Very nice suggestions.

For some reason Yo Yo Ma also came to mind. Seal likes different sounds and Yo Yo is good.
Also, How could I not mention Joni Mitchell?. They have worked together before on How Do You Stop? And both Seal and Jeymes admire her work. I could see them touring together too.

Your are awesome. He is a very nice. very accomplished musician/composer/performer. Very nice of you to think of him. I do like his work especially in the past couple of movie scores I heard him do. Notable and distinct.

I don't remember if you sent me any of your works in email, but I lost everything last July that wasn't back-up due to a computer crash. Why did the police take all your work? It seems very unfair

LOL. I had bought a table and 6 chairs from the housemate of the officer that worked in the apartment complex. Anyhow, they seperated. There perhaps was an unprofessional relationship that resulted in my being jailed and in the the re-acquiring of the items I purchased. To think I was given help by him in bringing the items into my home. Once My home became open to others I was then attacked and jailed. I had been under surveillance for some time. The cop worked as a security officer for the apartment complex I had lived in. So my entire defense system was - essentially attacking me. Everyone who knew I was alive for the past 6 months prior to my arrest, were involved in getting me jailed and dispossessed from my home. That is how it happens. Once everything was dispossessed they went back and gathered everything they wanted. I was told by the apartment leasing person that a key was asked for prior to my being disposessed. So whatever that is worth.

You see people going to the mountain cabin or to the lake house to write or to get their thouhts. I do that almost all the time. I worked on subs in the military and subsequently developed a type of introversion or anti-social stress impairment (which is not a mental disease) just, that I am uneasy around people. Which is why I never attended any of the SEAL FANCLUB MEETINGS. Being alone made me a target for the people who benefitted by obtaining my art, my original screenplays, short stories, poetry (unpublished), and 2 books I was writing. 36 pictures of art I had one of which was given to seal. Only one photo was copyrighted the one that was distributed. 18 years worth of research is now gone.

Oh Janet don't ask me about the woman. A restraining order is in place I cannot discuss her. Even though the restrainging order is not real and does not exist in 2 courthouses and I proved to the judge that it was false. None of that matters. He issued a new one that is real and permanent. So God Bless America and the almighty dollar.

I just looked up Adam sky tonight on the web. For those of you who have followed Seal since he started, Seal hooked up with Adamski and in 1990 they had a number one hit called "Killer".

Killer was a great Seal/Adamski collaboration and I wonder if Seal would work with him on a new 2007 version of Killer? It would be cool to hear a new remix on the radio.

Adam Sky definately has a unique sound and I am just curious as to what they could cook up for 2007... "Killer Urbanite Mix"? Owww revise that..."Killer Krytonite Mix"

thanks janet i hope they do a remix it would be cool, but im not sure that seal would agree...but it may work to promote the album or just be a good track for us fans lol whatever happens i will check adam's my space xx
