Hi - Mr.Seal, if you read this- I thank you for your contribution to my life.
I was lucky enough to get a sampling from another project that you have done some work on- "Togetherland"... And I must say I have wondered about it many times since. Can you let me - and everyone - know when you think this might be made available?
Hi Erjan, Welcome to the board. As far as I know there are only samples, and a couple of cuts from Togetherland. From what everyone is saying Togetherland won't be released. Love, Janet

Hi Sue, Togetherland is on the shelf for reasons between Warner Bros., and Seal. All of the fans would love for this album to be released. I know that most of us would buy it PDQ, but does the album have mass market appeal? I think that was part of the decision not to publish Togetherland. Honey, check my newsgroup and you might find something special http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/InTuneWithSeal/ Look in the file section. Love Ya, Janet Hi Mario, check out my news group. Love, Janet
Hi Sue, I also wish for this music to be released but Warner Brothers does not agree. Here is my honest opinion, if you have an artist that has sold millions of records anything that the artist considers completed music should be published. It sounds to me like Warner Brother does not have enough faith in Seal. I think Togetherland would have commercial success.

This has always been an interesting subject to us Seal fans and nobody is really sure what TRULY happened. I went online and did a couple of searches and I found the following articles related to this subject:
Interviews and articles BEFORE the album was terminated:
Interviews and articles AFTER the album was terminated:
Seal released Seal IV, with the first single "Waiting For You." The LP evolved after 2 years of working on a new LP and scapping work meant to be titled Togetherland after Seal felt wasn't good enough, telling VH1: "There is an emotional quality in my music that resonates with people. If there’s no emotion or belief in the song or the delivery, then there is nothing. It was not the easiest reality to come to terms with, but it was one that I had to accept." Taken from: http://www.rockonthenet.com/artists-s/seal_main.htm
Great article! It sort of says that at some point Seal was proud of that record. It is also funny to me that Seal says that Human Beings is an OK album. I think Human Beings is one the greatest records of all time. Seal seems to be very hard on himself.

Having read a lot of interviews about Human Beings and Togetherland and Seal IV, I would say that he has taken to viewing an albums level of success by the commercial success it has had. I think he knows the music is good, but he like so many other artists looks at how many people bought the cd in order to tell how much people related to it (if that makes sense). I think he and Warner felt that Togetherland might be very similar in appeal to Human Being, and thats how they talked him into restarting the process and making Seal IV

As a cynic when it comes to big money and power, I get the feeling that the tone/messages found in Togetherland were not in line with what giant corporations want out there. From what I heard of the sound bites from Togetherland, it DEFINATELY had the potential to be the best, by far, of all of his work.
I would give so much to get Togetherland. I'd honesly buy 10 copies if I had to. Let it Ride especially hit me, but almost ALL of those songs were almost perfect for me. I'd give up Seal IV for this one any day. I wish there was something we could do to get it, or even a couple songs from it.

Thats totally how I feel too. I would pay $100 for the CD. I'd pay $10 a song if I could download it. My favorite sound bite was from Under the Sun...but Love is Better is the shiznit too. Its pathetic, I like loop the clips and pretend I have a new Seal song!
I only new about Togetherland a few months ago and I'm really anoyed about it...I think that when someone is envolved with a record label is what it happens...
But now I'm very curious...can I hear some music of the album anywhere?
If some of you guys have it, please e-mail me even if it is only one music, or a bit...

Thanks in advance.
