I just don't know how this place continues to get so much better by the day... Wow! Are you guys ready for the Q & A with the ever so talented Chris Bruce (Bass Guitar)?
As music director, this guy has contributed to and written so much of the work that you've come to appreciate. You'll remember that in the recent interview with Ramy Antoun, Chris was credited with being a genius and keeping everything together.
Well it's your chance to pick his brain and find out what exactly makes this musical genius tick. So fire away with your questions and as usual, I'll pick the best (and worst) to pose to Mr. Bruce in the coming weeks.

Enjoy!

Wow this is so cool ! Can you share any stories about working with Seal you know some comical antidote that would be great to hear. Oh and alittle about your background as I've never seen you guys live I only know you from the credits on the albums and second hand info about how brilliant you are from those who have been fortunate enough to see you live. Thanks in advance.

Peace and Love Rita

Hmmmmmmm, I saw Chris just a couple weeks back and he does kick butt on that bass......my question would have to be... Mr. Chris, do you or have you ever played the standup bass? I have a friend who is in the process of honing his skills on a standup, and he says it is alot more difficult to play(because they are fretless) and that he gets quite tired by the time the third or fourth song rolls around. Have you also found that the standup takes way more energy to play and if you got the chance would you play one live? Just curious because they produce such a huge meat and potatoes sound that is quite different than the electric bass(would be cool live).

Smile Thanx.....Mystery

What is the job description of a Musical Director and what are your "duties"?

Where were you born and where do you live now? Why did you chose the place where you now live?

Thanks for doing this interview Chris and MJ!!!

SmileHello, Chris. How are you doing? When you are not busy, what do you like to do on your time off? When you are touring, is there something you must have in your dressing room, hotel room? I hope I get to see you and the others perform. Thanks for the interview, Chris. Smile

Chris, the first thing I noticed when the band came out on stage was your clothes...But Lonliest Star took my questions so here goes...the backup...

If you could play with 3 other artists (singers and/or bands; alive or dead) who would it be?

Hi Chris! My two questions are:

At what point in your life did you realize that making music would be the path you would follow in life?

Name three female figures who have most contributed to where you are now presently and how have they done so?

Hello Chris,
Just a few questions for you.
Did you always have a passion for playing the guitar? Did you have to take lessons, or did it come natural? What is your favorite brand and style of guitar? My son says that you are the best guitar player. Love sent, Cara

Hi Chris!

I'm curious: Who has been a favorite artist to work with (besides Seal, of course!) or album to work on?

My "homeboy's" album True Reflections, which I really like, is what prompted the question.

Chris - we saw you last year at the NBC Morning Show in Rockefeller Center. I was the Mom with two teenagers in front. My son (typical teen) was looking a bit uncomfortable (it was not a normal "concert" environment), but, he LOVED the music and liked you the best. He thought your clothes were super cool (he tries to dress like that at school, which is an accomplishment here). He also asked for an Acoustic/Spanish guitar. Is there a good way he can teach himself to play? Thanks and hope to meet you one day!
